How to think like an Architect

I was roaming the internet for blogs and videos about architecture to find some inspiration and stumbled upon a very interesting series of youtube videos by an architect called Barry Berkus.

I think the way he works is very interesting and might give me and others some insight on architectural design methods. He has even written quite an interesting book: Architecture/Art/Parallels/Connections (2000). I might consider buying it from Amazon.

By looking at the nature around us we can be inspired and have some amazing design ideas. Making things from what we see is sometimes a very efficient way of designing. Exercising your mind is an essential part of being an architect. Drawing on layout paper is very useful, since you can go back to what you did before.

Apparently he talks on TED.com too:
